According to Tom Bowser, CEO and BCBS of Kansas City, lifestyle behavior accounts for about 70 percent of healthcare expenditure nationwide. He added that the increased accountability from the member part in regards to lifestyle choices and disease prevention will result in healthcare expenditure containment in the future.
